Dr. Andreea Gorgos is one of the two Co-Directors of the Meraki Health Centre, which she founded with Dr. Shuvo Ghosh. Dr. Gorgos is an Assistant Professor at McGill University and also works at the Montreal Children’s Hospital.
Originally a physiotherapist, she completed her medical studies at McGill University and then finished a residency in Pediatrics at Université de Montréal. Additional training in the Neonatal Follow-up Program at the Montreal Children’s Hospital led her to develop an expertise working with special populations of children with neurodevelopmental delays and disorders. A particular interest in the ethical challenges posed by caring for children with complex medical, psychological and social needs has led her to complete a Master’s degree in Pediatric Clinical Ethics, at Université de Montréal. She is currently the chair of the Pediatric Ethics Board of the Montreal Children’s Hospital.
At the Meraki Health Centre, she works with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate and follow children with developmental impairments, as well as children and adolescents with gender variance.
Dr. Gorgos has a strong interest in working with community partners to promote social justice and advocate for marginalized populations. In her spare time, she enjoys playing music, painting, practicing yoga and meditation as well as connecting with nature.
