Sarah graduated from Touro College in Manhattan with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Her passion for working with children started in high school when she volunteered and later worked at an interdisciplinary early intervention clinic here in Montreal. Her skills grew during her clinical affiliation at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in New Jersey where she was responsible for evaluating and treating children in the NICU, PICU and pediatric outpatient. During her time there, Sarah was fortunate enough to attend weekly torticollis and orthopedic clinics in which she was able to collaborate with plastic surgeons and orthopedic specialists. She went on to work at a pediatric outpatient clinic in Chicago where she stayed for over 3 years, working with children ages 0-21 with a variety of diagnoses including developmental delay, stroke, cerebral palsy, torticollis, autism etc. She has since moved back to Montreal and continues to treat children in the clinical setting, in daycares and their homes.
Sarah is a big believer in evidence based practice and always turns to the literature when creating and implementing a treatment plan. She relies also on her inter-disciplinary team, who she often consults prior to creating a treatment plan for her patients. For Sarah, the most rewarding part of her job is watching her patients reach their goals and full potential. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, skiing and cooking!
